JBL Quantum Cup Brings The Fortnite Action This December

If you’re a gamer, then now’s your chance to shine. JBL has partnered with ESL to launch the JBL Quantum Cup. This gaming tournament offers to put gamers in the middle of some high-level esports the action.

Beginning on December 11, gamers have the chance to watch the top names in Fortnite, Valorant, and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds go at it head-to-head. What makes this different from the other tournaments, particularly for Fortnite, is that anyone can join in for the qualifying rounds, and then have the chance to play in the finals against the pros.

The JBL Quantum Cup is going to cover the North America, Europe and Asia regions, and features a stacked roster of shoutcasters and streamers. Fans have a chance to watch the Fortnite and Valorant teams for 100 Thieves along with in-stream appearances by Ali “SypherPK” Hassan and Jay “Sinatraa” Won, the regional JBL Quantum Ambassadors.

Those who want to experience even more action can watch the stream for the JBL Quantum Cup on these platforms:

  • Live commentary from shoutcasters including Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez, Chris “Puckett” Puckett, Arten “Ballatw” Esta, and Lauren “Pansy” Scott is going to be available on JBL’s Twitch channel from December 11-13.
  • IGN’s Sydnee Goodman provides commentary during the JBL Quantum Cup finals on IGN’s homepage and YouTube channel.
  • ESL’s online and social platforms are also providing coverage across their Twitch and YouTube channels.

In a press statement, 100 Thieves Founder and CEO Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag said that their “teams are extremely excited to partner with JBL and participate in the first-ever JBL Quantum Cup to show the top names in esports how much of an edge the JBL Quantum headsets give us in competition.” He went on to say that they are excited to be “playing alongside our fans during the stream and showing the strength of our Valorant team – led by Hiko – as well as our successful Fortnite teams.”

For those who want to be able to show their skills on a global gaming stage, the tournament is inviting 1,200 gamers to take part in a Fortnite tournament, with regional qualifiers starting on December 5. There’s going to be three rounds of competition with the top 10 duos from each region qualifying to the regional finals and a chance to fight it out with the pros. Those interested can register here, with the deadline for signing up on November 30.

In the same press statement, HARMAN Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Ralph Santana said that “esports is growing faster than anyone expected, so being able to unite pro streamers with fans for the first time ever in this unique three-day tournament is a huge moment for us.” He continued by stating that there’s no question that “JBL is changing the game with the first competition that puts viewers at the center of the action.”

All throughout the JBL Quantum Cup, competitiors have a chance to win three ways. Those who manage to secure a spot in the Fortnite regional qualifier rounds have a shot at a share of the $200,000 prize pool along with being crowned the JBL Quantum Cup Champion. It’s not just a cash prize, since at stake is also a gaming prize pack that features a JBL Quantum headset, JBL Quantum DUO computer speakers and a Samsung Galaxy Book Ion.

Then there’s those who tune in to the stream to get a chance to win each hour during the live Twitch broadcast. Giveaways include JBL Quantum headsets, JBL Quantum DUO computer speakers and autographed gear from 100 Thieves.
