The post-apocalyptic car-combat MOBA Heavy Metal Machines launched its newest Metal Pass content with Rockaway Beach. This latest content not only introduces a new pilot to the game, but also emotes.

In Rockaway Beach, players get a chance to get 100 new rewards. These include new songs for the main menu, along with a new Metal God Arena with new thematic visuals.

In a statement, Hoplon CEO Rodrigo Campos said that they are happy to announce the new season of content for players. He added that with "Heavy Metal Machines, we feel there is a playstyle for each individual, so there really is something for everyone."

As mentioned, a new pilot joins the battle. Named Vulture, this bounty hunter is first character in the game to use a motorbike instead of a four-wheeled vehicle. As part of the decimated Vulture Blades MC bounty hunter motorcycle gang, Vulture has now transformed into a Golem so that he may cheat death and stay in the hunt for all eternity. Numb to most of his senses, the excitement of the hunt is the only thing that makes him feel alive.

In addition to the new hero, emotes have been added to the game this season. Making this new feature fun is that players can now use these equipable items to let other players know how they are feeling once they have destroyed the competition to reign victorious in the arenas. Players can equipped a maximum of five emotes that can be used at any time during a match. The emotes are available as rewards on Metal Pass 5 with other options available at the in-game store.

Heavy Metal Machines also announced that the fifth season of the Metal League is expected to begin on August 10. The fifth season is going to have weekly tournaments that are open to all players at no additional cost.

According to Campos, the different tournaments "are open to all, no matter their skill level, so there’s no excuse not to just invite your friends and team up to take on the competition. With real world money on the line, we’re expecting the competition to be fierce, so we’ve laid down the challenge to our players – start your engines and join the arenas of Metal City.”

Heavy Metal Machines is a free-to-play 4x4 multiplayer car battle that features a heavy metal theme. Players can choose from a selection of 15 playable characters, each having their own characteristics and backstories.
