Hearthstone Patch 22.0 Updates Battlegrounds and Duels

Hearthstone received Patch 22.0, which brings a lot of new things. There’s a new board introduced to Battlegrounds and new content to Duels. The usual bug fixes are there as well, along with game improvements.

Let’s start with Duels which is going to have its Card Pool update. In particular, Goblins vs. Gnomes will be added once the Fractured in Alterac Valley expansion releases on December 7.

Duels also see new passive treasures included in the pool, which are:

• Pool 1
  • Natural Force
    • Nature Spell Damage +2
  • Kindling Flame
    • Fire Spell Damage +2
  • Unholy Gift
    • At the start of the game, shuffle 5 Death Knight cards into your deck.
  • Bitter Cold
    • Frost Spell Damage +2
• Pool 2
  • Expedited Burial
    • At the start of the game, change each Deathrattle minion in your hand and deck into a 1/1 that costs (1).
  • Mantle of Ignition
    • Whenever you target a minion with a spell, cast it again on its neighbors.
  • Imp-credible Trousers
    • After you cast a Fel spell, shuffle 2 Fel Rifts into your deck.
  • Iron Roots
    • After you cast a Nature spell, give a random friendly minion +2/+2 and Taunt.
  • Bronze Signet
    • Whenever you draw a minion, add a copy of it to your hand.
  • Battle Stance
    • Your hero has +2 Attack on your turn.
  • Ring of Black Ice
    • Whenever a minion is Frozen, add a copy of it to your hand.
  • Idols of Elune
    • At the end of your turn, cast a spell you've cast this turn (targets are random).
  • Runic Helm
    • At the end of your turn, add a random Death Knight card to your hand.
  • Cloak of Emerald Dreams
    • At the end of your turn, add a Dream Card to your hand.
  • Glacial Downpour
    • At the end of your turn, summon a 3/6 Water Elemental if you've cast a Frost spell.

Battlegrounds Update

For Battlegrounds, the special Diablo event is over. So, Diablo is no longer part of the Hero Pool. There is however a hero returning: Lord Barov. A new hero is introduced as well which is:

• Scabbs Cutterbutter
  • I Spy [Costs 2]
    • Discover a plain copy of a minion from your next opponent's warband.

Another thing to expect in this new patch is the Battlegrounds Boards. These are special boards that players can bring to the combat phase of their Battlegrounds fights. It offers new visuals not only for players but also for their opponents.

So far, only one has been released and it’s the Arena of Champions.
