The Halo Infinite technical preview has concluded, but those who were not chosen to join the Halo Insider program need not worry. Developer 343 Industries is going to have more “Flights” in the future.

For more than three days, players were given a glimpse of what the game can offer. While beta testers only had bots to fight most of the preview, there were certain times where player-vs-player Slayer matches were introduced, albeit for a limited time.

Brian “ske7ch” Jarrard, community director at 343 Industries, said in a Twitter thread that the first technical preview for Halo Infinite has wrapped up. He also thanked the fans for playing the game, filing bugs, and sharing feedback.

He went on to say that the developers will dig into the game data, bug tickets, feedback threads, and crash logs. These should let them know what to fix or add before the game’s eventual release in the holidays.

Jarrard said that some participants may get an official user research survey via email. But due to the scale of the flight, not everyone will get one.

The community director also said that once the developers have determined the answers and outcomes to key themes, they will share a recap via the Halo Waypoint on the official website.

In closing, Jarrard said that the team is hoping to initiate another beta testing phase in the future.

“Our hope is to land at least another larger scale flight, properly focused on PVP and other aspects of the MP experience,” he said.

The game has a large-scale, 12v12 team battle mode, though it is unclear if the developers would implement this in the next beta testing period.

While it is understandable that some people are upset for not getting chosen, at least there is something to be hopeful for in the future.

Only those who have signed up for the Halo Insider program will be chosen in the next round of testing. So if you haven’t already, then now is the time to do so.

Halo Infinite will be available on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The game is slated for release in the holidays of 2021.
