Grand Theft Auto VI is Coming to Next-Gen Consoles in 2025

Take-Two Interactive Software announced that Grand Theft Auto VI is launching in 2025. It's going to be available for the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X/S.

The game is set in the state of Leonida, which is home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond. This upcoming title is likely going to be the biggest and most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series. Other than that, no other information has been revealed so far.

Talking about this upcoming game, Rockstar Games Founder Sam Houser shared in a statement that they've continued their efforts when it came to pushing the limits of what is possible in an open world experience that's story-driven and highly immersive. He added that they're happy "to share this new vision" with the players around the world.

Rockstar Games is all set to celebrate its25th anniversary this month. The studio pioneered the open-world genre of video games when it launched in 2001 a game known as Grand Theft Auto III. Since then, each successive entry in the franchise went on to become not only one of the biggest selling video games but also one of the most critically acclaimed. These included Grand Theft: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and Grand Theft Auto IV.

In addition to the Grand Theft Auto series, Rockstar Games is also responsible for other titles that include the Red Dead Redemption series, the Max Payne series, Bully, L.A. Noire, the Midnight Club series, and The Warriors. This allowed the studio to cement their reputation creators of complex living worlds.

Take–Two Interactive Software meanwhile is a developer, publisher, and marketer of interactive entertainment for consumes around the world. Based in New York City, the company develops and publishes products principally through Rockstar Games, 2K, Private Division, and Zynga. Take–Two's products are designed for PC, console gaming systems, PC, and even mobile.
