DC will always be a mainstay at San Diego Comic-Con, and this year, they have quite the teaser together with publisher Warner Bros. Games and developer WB Games Montreal as they showed off a new trailer for Gotham Knights featuring the one and only Batgirl. Showing off an array of slick moves and cool weapons (plus one sweet ride to boot), Batgirl rides into a city that finds itself without its Dark Knight to fill his shoes alongside her allies. Check out the full trailer below.

This universe’s Batgirl is Barbara Gordon, a well-known ally of Batman across all of his related DC properties, whether animated movies, games, or comics. In Gotham Knights, Barbara takes a more active role as a combative protector of the city rather than her usual coder/hacker self who also goes by the name of Oracle. This implies that Gotham Knights takes place outside of the Batman: Arkham timeline, as the Barbara in those games was a paraplegic that helped Bruce wage his terror against criminals in a support and logistics role.

Whether you’re a fan of this iteration, it’s very good to see Barbara’s Batgirl in action for the first time in this capacity. She joins three other notable Bat family members in their quest to keep Gotham safe in the absence of Batman: Nightwing, also known as Dick Grayson, and Batman’s first partner; Red Hood, also known as Jason Todd, and the second Robin who was thought to have been killed by the Joker; and Robin, also known as Tim Drake, and the last person to bear the mantle since Batman’s disappearance.

In the weeks leading up to SDCC, Warner Bros. Games also released character trailers for Nightwing and Robin, showing the two heroes in action. With Batgirl now having her own, we’re only waiting for Red Hood’s character trailer to complete the four individuals who will all play a role in the mystery of Gotham Knights.

Gotham Knights is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on October 25.
