The Horizon 10-Year Anniversary Update is arriving in Forza Horizon 5 this October 11. It's going to give players instant access to the new Horizon Origins Story. There's also the return of the Midnight Battles game mode where players can score rare cars by winning head-to-head races. Look forward as well to fan-favorite festival music coming to the Horizon Mixtape.
When the new update goes live on October 11, it's simply the start of the festivities. There's a four-week anniversary themed Festival Playlist beginning October 13. Players get the chance to unlock iconic cars from previous Horizon games. There are also new cosmetics for characters and additional Horizon Mixtape songs.
This is also a good time to jump into the game, and not just because of the celebration. Starting October 11, Forza Horizon 4 is offered at 67% discount with Forza Horizon 5 at 30% discount on the Microsoft Store. The same offer is available on Steam but starts October 13. Both promotions end October 24.
Horizon Origins Story
In the new Horizon Origins Story, players are invited to go on a trip to memory lane with none other than Bass Arena disc jockey Scott Tyler.
Five chapters for everyone to relive some of the most iconic gameplay moments of the series. Those able to finish all chapters unlock the 2013 Dodge SRT Viper GTS Anniversary Edition. For those new to the game, this is the first Forza Horizon cover car. What’s being offered though is the exclusive new variant in celebration of the game’s 10th Anniversary.
Midnight Battles
The Street Scene is where Midnight Battles mode is happening. This game mode started in Australia and features head-to-head races that reward the competitor car’s to the player if they successfully win.
For every four victories in the Street Scene, a new Midnight Battle is unlocked. For those looking for a challenge, win 16 races to unlock all Midnight Battles.
