This weekend sees the start of the playoffs for the NBA 2020-2021 season. Before the games begin, Fortnite players will get to enjoy many events. The Fortnite x NBA: The Crossover offers a lot of new content and ultimately, a new experience.

NBA Outfits

Starting May 21, players can suit up any of the 30 teams. The "In The Paint Set" in particular has 31 uniforms. Players can also get the Shoot & Score Pack which contains the Hookshot Emote and Mini Hoop Back Bling, which includes the logo of all 30 teams. Those who think they have what it takes to be a point guard can show those skills through the Dribblin' traversal Emote.

Players Lockers

The Fortnite Team revealed in a post that some of the best in the league are more than ready to share what they wear for players to enjoy. Beginning next week, the Item Shop is set to feature Locker Bundles selected by NBA players Donovan Mitchell and Trae Young.

Creative

Next week, the NBA will cross over to Fortnite Creative so watch out for that.

Team Battles

This started last May 19 and will run until May 23. To get started, players and fans must first go to the official Fortnite x NBA Team Battles website. They then need to sign up and support their favorite team. Hopefully, you still have a chance to sign up.

That’s because many players are likely lining up to get the “Member” spots, giving a chance to earn some in-game rewards and V-Bucks. However, this is limited to the first 15,000 players to sign up.

Next are “Fan” spots which also give a chance to earn in-game rewards. This is limited to the first 550,000 players to sign up.

After that, there are Challenge Tasks that members and fans need to complete to get the rewards, from May 19 to May 21. Things can get exciting when the stakes are raised from May 22 to May 23, when the Team Battles leaderboards are activated. The higher the position of the team is, the more chances of earning V-Bucks. There is also an extra reward “NBA Championship Trophy” Back Bling.
