Final Fantasy 15 allows Noctis and his bros to engage in various skills outside combat and pushing all of those to level 10 has serious advantages. Maxing out survival, for example, allows Gladio to loot the best items from combat. Letting Ignis become a great cook means top-tier healing with strong recipies. These tips are easy and probably a bit dirty, but here’s how to max out in fishing, survival, cooking and photography.

Fishing: At Vesperpool is a large lake with a shop nearby that sells high-level supplies. Go there and buy a Neeid reel, a Death Spin rod, a bunch of Great Malboro stinkers and Super Baleen line. You’ll need the funds to make that happen, but the advantage pays off. With those supplies, just keep fishing at the nearby lake and revisiting camp to reap the reward. To max out, it should take about four hours.

Survival: Leveling up in survival is as easy as making sure Gladio has a safe place to walk around. The methods to level up this skill are a bit desperate, but they do work. Just warp to an outpost and keep walking in circles. If you want, you can attach elastic bands to your analog sticks and go do something else. The whole process takes about 30 hours, so just leave your console on while you go to school or work.

Another fast method is to find an open area and let Gladio endlessly run. Enable the stamina bar if that’s not already done, and work through a pattern of holding and releasing circle (or B) just before the indicator depletes. He can run forever that way.

Cooking: As far as cooking is concerned, there’s an equally tedious grind for that too. Simply go to the Lestallum Outpost and buy a bunch of luncheon meat from the nearby shop. At camp, make Mystery Meat Sushi, sleep and repeat.

Photography: Pronto is your photo expert and there are a few ways to level him up. The first is to do the same as you did with Gladio and tape elastic bands to your analog sticks to make him walk. That can take about 60 hours, however, so prepare to wait.

To accomplish the task in a third of that time, buy the Snapshot ascension alongside Tech Strike, Tech Damage and Quick Tech. Keep taking pictures in combat whenever possible. It requires finding a spot with low-level enemies and a measly 20 hours.
