FIFA 21 is all set to be released worldwide on October 9. This version of the yearly soccer franchise is going to offer players updates on fan favorite modes and offer more ways to play with friends, particularly with new social elements. The game is going to be available for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

For those wondering, Paris Saint-Germain’s very own Kylian Mbappé is set to be on the cover on all editions of FIFA 21. In a press release, Mbappé said that it’s a dream come true to be on the cover of the game and it marks another big milestone in his career. He went on to say that he has “been playing this game since I was a kid and I am honored to represent a whole new generation of footballers and be in the same group as many other amazing footballers who I now share this honor with.”

Players who have long loved FIFA's Career Mode now have the chance to bring their team to the top by managing each moment. Updates to this mode include offering additional depth when it comes to matches, transfers, and even trainings. There is also the Interactive Match Sim which introduces enhanced gameplay activity. Another changes is the improvement to the growth system which allows gamers to better manage player development.

Intelligent gameplay has also been updated and now has an all-new dynamic attacking system. This should allow for more realistic and informed movements resulting in more intensity when it comes to 1v1 gameplay. Other new features include:

  • Agile Dribbling offers more tools at the player's disposal when facing a defender.
  • Positioning Personality enhances in-game intelligence to match the real-world understanding of space and time in soccer.
  • Creative Runs gives players new options for off the ball moments.
  • A natural collision system makes use of brand new animation systems to create smoother player interactions all over the pitch.

When it comes to soccer, one of the main reasons why people love the sport is because they can play with friends. For the new FIFA 21, players can join a more social street soccer experience through VOLTA SQUADS. There’s also a new way for four players to join together or just drop into the community with the other VOLTA players. FIFA Ultimate Team, meanwhile, allows players to team up with friends online and compete for rewards using FUT Co-op.

EA Sports FIFA Executive Producer Aaron McHardy revealed in a statement to the press that this year fans are going to be brought together through social experiences that elevate not only the small-sided experience, but also the excitement that’s felt on the professional pitch. Players are sure to feel that this is the most authentic and interactive FIFA experience to date. McHardy went on to say that “along with one of the biggest updates to career mode yet and enhanced gameplay realism that continues to bridge the gap between the real and virtual world of football, fans have more ways than ever to play the beautiful game of football we all love.”
