Good news for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S players. There’s a 60 FPS patch now available for Far Cry 5 released as part of the game’s fifth anniversary celebrations. The new patch works on all game modes and even the three DLCs. With this, players should be able to enjoy the game at twice the frame rate.
For Xbox Series X/S players, they also get an improved resolution for an even smoother visual experience. Xbox Series X now supports a 3840 x 2160 or 4K resolution, while Xbox Series S, now runs at 1920 x 1080.
PlayStation 5 players can now have fun at 2880 x 1620 resolution.
Free Weekend
As part of the fifth anniversary celebrations, play Far Cry 5 for free from March 23 to March 27, valid for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It’s also available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S through backward compatibility.
If you’re playing on a free weekend, see if you can liberate Hope County from the doomsday cult known as The Project. There’s a choice to play the game solo or co-op with a friend and recruit in-game help through the Guns for Hire system. Just remember that the game tracks your impact on Hope County and adjusts the cult’s response appropriately.
