Publisher and developer Capcom unveiled a brand-new story trailer for Exoprimal, the dinosaur-themed action team-shooter coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. This story trailer unveils some new background information and introduces previously unknown dinosaurs. A few months ago, Capcom unveiled the first batch of dinosaurs for Exoprimal, including popular ones T. Rex and Velociraptor. Check out the new story trailer for Exoprimal, accompanied by new screenshots.

As noted in the story trailer, it would seem that various spacetime distortions have appeared around Earth, heavily dishing out various dinosaurs. An entity known as Aibius is investigating these distortions, which seem to be centered around Bikitoa Island. A being called Leviathan also seems to be manipulating everyone from the shadows, and it’s up to a man named Ace to figure out what’s happening and ultimately put a stop to the dinosaur invasion.

This new trailer for Exoprimal was launched during Tokyo Game Show 2022. Besides giving out story beats, Capcom also introduced two new dinosaurs: the venom-spitting dilophosaurus and the carnotaurus, a massive beast that charges headlong into melee with its brutal horns. To take on these threats, players will have access to powerful wearable arsenals called Exosuits. Some of these Exosuits were unveiled during Capcom’s presentation. One is called the Skywave, a support-type Exosuit that can fly, heal allies, and obstruct the enemies’ vision and movement. A tank-type mode called Murasame was also revealed, taking inspiration from samurai with its huge katana called Kiri-Ichimonji.

Players can tailor their Exosuits as they like with different weapons, suit skins, decals, charms, and more. Teammates can also interact with one another via choice emotes, and enhance their overall performance with gear designed to upgrade Exosuits. Specific upgrades called Modules also arm your Exosuit with bonuses like reload speed, while Rigs are there to give players extra abilities, such as the Blade Rig, which dishes out a paralyzing electromagnetic shuriken. The player character, Ace, can also be customized to players’ different styles and wants.
