Epic Games is one of the platforms that gives away free games every year during the holidays, but one of their most anticipated freebies is the "Mystery Game" that brings new titles daily.
A recent leak has unveiled the new mystery games slated for this December 2025, but there are already a couple of hits and misses. However, it is a good place to start when it comes to what to expect from Epic Games this season.
Epic Games Store: Mystery Game Giveaway Leak
Epic Games always begins its Mystery Game freebies for users on the platform on December 18.
For December 2025, the last traditional free game of the month is "Hogwarts Legacy," and it is one of the biggest free drops of the company. That said, the last day to claim "Hogwarts Legacy" was December 18 after it was made available on December 11.
Free Games from Epic, As Per Leak
Since we are already way past December 18, the Epic Games Store has already shared various Mystery Games to claim and download for free on its platform, but a leak shared by GameRant gave insight into what to expect from the remaining days of the year.
Here are the free games coming for the rest of December via the Mystery Game freebies:
- "Jurassic World Evolution 2" - December 18
- "Desperados 3" - December 19
- "Total War: Warhammer" - December 20
- "Tropico 5" - December 21
- "Chicken Police: Paint It Red" - December 22
- "Loop Hero" - December 23
- "LEGO Batman" - December 24
- "Commander Keen" - December 25
- "Farming Simulator 2022" - December 26
- "Slime Rancher 2" - December 27
- "Terraria" - December 28
- "Detroit: Become Human" - December 29
- "Mortal Kombat 11" - December 30
- "Red Dead Redemption 2" - December 31
It is important to note that this list is not accurate as it came from a leak. Take for example December 18's "Jurassic World Evolution 2," another heavy hitter in the industry that was expected by fans because of this leak. Instead, users got "Jottunslayer: Hordes of Hel."
The next one made available is "Eternights" by Studio Sai and Crunchyroll Games, which is an action RPG and dating sim game, but the leak claimed it was supposed to be "Desperados 3."
It is important to take this leak with a grain of salt, especially as later in the month, there are upcoming titles which are renowned AAA-rated games like "Mortal Kombat 11," "Red Dead Redemption 2."
It is best to stay on the loop on the Epic Games Store's page for the free games to monitor the titles part of the December 2025 Mystery Game releases as users only have 24 hours to claim each title before they get replaced.
