Time to recharge and rise again. TNC Predator

For quite some time now, Southeast Asia has been home to popular Dota 2 organizations. One of these is the TNC Predator, a former powerhouse and household name in the Philippines and the Dota 2 pro scene. Sadly, for its fans, the organization has decided to go on a hiatus and skip the upcoming competitive scene.

The year 2022 has proven to be the worst competitive time for the team. Its current roster failed to be as impressive as its former players. Thanks to the subpar performance, TNC got eliminated from the SEA DPC 2023.

Supporting the Dota 2 Community from the Sidelines

In a video announcement posted on Facebook, TNC Predator CEO and Founder Eric Redulfin announced that the esports organization will not be joining the upcoming competitive scene. He said that they originally entertained the idea of continuing to the upcoming season but decided it is best to rebuild. He added that taking a break, for the time being, is what the organization needs for now.

“This is a very tough and difficult decision. TNC pro team Dota 2 will not be participating in the upcoming DPC Season. The organization will take a break in the competitive scene and support the landscape from the sidelines. There were a lot of discussions, negotiations, and moving parts to make this happen. Unfortunately, this plan did not come into life for TNC,” the executive said.

Redulfin also thanked the fans who have supported TNC Predator since the beginning and, most especially, during its worst competitive year up to date. He even promised that they would soon make a return to the competitive scene.

"This is not the end of our journey. We will continue our TI dream to bring home the Aegis. TNC will rise again,” he added.

TNC Predator won a place in the pantheon of Dota 2 after knocking out OG at TI 2016. The organization also won the World Electronic Sports Games and the 2019 MDL Chengdu Major. The team would eventually undergo a roster shuffle, but it was since 2021 that their performance just plummeted significantly, resulting in elimination from the SEA DPC league.
