Dota 2 team OG announced that Igor Filatov is no longer part of the team. Nicknamed iLTW, he joined OG last January 4 on loan from Espada. In a statement released by OG on their official Facebook page, the team said that they had reached a decision to release iLTW as OG has not been getting the results that they want.

After winning Ti8 in a Cinderella fashion, the team faced some difficulty in the following tournaments. The group only managed to get 5th-6th place during the Bucharest Minor, dropping to Gambit Esports 0-2 and later to Ninjas in Pyjamas 1-2. While they did get 3rd place during the ESL One Katowice 2019, it was not a DPC event.

Currently, OG is not in the top 12 in terms of DPC rankings. If the team wants to catch up in the rankings, they need to qualify and get strong finishes in the remaining Minors and Majors. There are two Minors left with one scheduled in April and the other June. The MDL Disneyland is the first of two remaining Majors and set for May, with the final Major event expected to be held in June.

OG’s woes can likely be traced back to November, when Anathan “ana” Pham revealed that he would be taking a long break from Dota 2 competitive play. He had been crucial in the team’s win at TI8.

Serving as ana’s replacement was Per Anders “Pajkatt” Olsson Lille, who joined the team in late November. However, OG had to let him go, citing issues with team chemistry. It was then that iLTW joined the team.

In the same statement posted on OG’s Facebook page, iLTW said that he thanks OG for the opportunity and that it has “been a great experience and I learned so much.” Talking about iLTW’s departure, Sebastien “7ckngMad” Debs described iLTW as a hard working and dedicated player, and that he was impressed with his passion for the game.

There is no word yet on who will be the new team member, but OG said the organization will announce it in the next few days.
