The new Dota 2 2021 DPC Season is all set on January 18 as team rosters for the Upper Division have been completed. What makes this more exciting is not just the start of a new season, but also with a new format.

Our Take

Since this is the first time the format will apply, it’s safe to assume that there’s a big possibility that top teams will take the spots. Meaning, these are teams that got direct invites. This is likely to happen for North America and South America. It’s also possible that the CIS is going to have the same results.

The Europe region, though, could have an exciting set of matches considering the teams in the Upper Division. It’s not that easy to predict who gets the top 4 spots. We’re thinking that Secret and OG may secure spots for the Majors.

SEA is interesting as well. The established teams have been invited but in this region, it’s never good to count out the new teams. It’s also exciting to see how Fnatic’s new roster is going to fare in this new format.

Finally, there’s China. It’s bad enough that Newbee got permanently banned yet there are still interesting organizations in the region. Elephant, for instance, maybe a relatively new team, however, its members have TI experience.

So, which teams are you rooting for in this tournament?
