'The Division' Down? PS4 And Xbox One Users Report Server Outages At Midnight Launch

Tom Clancy’s The Division players are reporting server issues on the Xbox One and PS4 right now. This Reddit thread, titled "Ubisoft services not available at this time" shows users are reporting that error message, as well as the Delta error. Sony PlayStation, Ubisoft and Microsoft have yet to comment on this issue, although server strain is quite common on release day. 

Update 3.10.16 @ 1:17 a.m. EST: According to the dev blog, The Division servers are currently down for maintenance. Total downtime is expected to be around two hours.

 

Update 9:37 a.m.:

Ubisoft recomends PS4, PC, and Xbox One users do the following steps to rectify connectivity issues, according to the official forums:

  1. Please follow the steps outlined in this troubleshooting article here:PC - https://support.ubi.com/en-GB/FAQ/9/...0000000tiK5CAIPS4 – https://support.ubi.com/en-GB/FAQ/47...0000000tiKFCAYXBOX ONE – https://support.ubi.com/en-GB/FAQ/43...0000000tiKACAY
  2. Next please can you disable and the enable UPnP on your router. Please make sure to reset your router and try the game each time you change this setting.
  3. If you still cannot connect please flush your DNS cache:a. Click Startb. Enter cmd in the Start menu search boxc. Right click Command Prompt and select Run as Administratord. Run the following command: ipconfig /flushdns
  4. Next change your DNS to the google DNS 8.8.8.8. NOTE: before doing this note down your current DNS so you can revert back to this if this does not work:PC – https://developers.google.com/speed/...dns/docs/usingPS4 – http://www.idganswers.com/question/2...-server-on-ps4XBOX ONE – http://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-o...twork-settings

This official support forum thread offered advice for solving a similar issue a user had during the beta. Ubisoft's support team advised users this basic advice:

1. Turn off your PS4 and your Modem/Router and wait for 15 - 30 seconds.

2. Fully power up your Modem/Router (it may take a couple of minutes to re-establish your connection).

3. Turn on your PS4 and try the game again.
