Digimon World: Next Order is officially available on Nintendo Switch and PC through Steam. In this monster-collecting-and-raising RPG set in the digital world of Digimon, players take on the role of a DigiDestined either as Shiki or Takuto. They go on a journey to solve a perplexing Digi-mystery while restoring the Digital World to its natural order.
The game offers an expansive roster composed of more than 200 Digimon for players to collect and befriend. From this set, players can choose two to accompany them on their adventures as partners.
The bonds between the players and Digimon can be strengthened by training and feeding them. Players can also do Digivolving to unlock their Digimon’s full potential and make them even stronger during battle. Speaking of battles, players can train their pair of Digimon to fight cooperatively against AI.
In addition to various Digimon, players also meet different characters on their journey. In between travels, they can expand and manage the town of Floatia, which also serves as a home base.
For this version, players can look forward to the new Beginner Mode difficulty level which makes it easier for newbies to jump into the action. There’s also a new running ability where they can move at 1.4 times the normal speed to travel faster and smoother.
In a statement, Savannah Ho of Bandai Namco Entertainment America shared that the game is sure to take everyone on an unforgettable adventure, especially with the combination of satisfying combat, charming roster of companions, and enticing story. Savannah went on to say that they can’t wait for players to digitize themselves into this immersive world.
