Star Wars, the sci-fi franchise owned by Disney, is getting more and more video games. Tom Henderson, a well-known leaker, revealed that Quantic Dream is developing a new Star Wars game.
The Leak
According to his post, the game has been in development for more than 18 months. This doesn’t seem far-fetched as the developer’s three-game deal with Sony ended back in 2018. So, Quantic Dream had a lot of time to find a new project.
That’s not all. Quantic Dream even liked the tweet that made the Star Wars claim, hinting that it might be accurate. However, the developer later removed that “like.”
This goes without saying but take this with a grain of salt until an official announcement.
About the Developer
Quantic Dream is known for making story-driven games with little gameplay. Their games are similar to the one developed by Telltale. But QD might not be as beloved as Telltale. Still, they have some good titles under their belt. Both Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human received positive reception. Though Beyond: Two Souls received a mixed reception.
All three games were released for PC back in 2019 after being PlayStation-exclusives for several years.
Other Star Wars game
These last few years, we have heard about tons of new Star Wars games. After EA lost its deal for developing SW games exclusively, LucasArts has been going around and making deals with others. Several games have already been confirmed, while others are still rumored.
All upcoming Star Wars Games:
- LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
- Ubisoft's Open-World Star Wars Game
- Star Wars: Hunters (Switch and Smartphones)
- Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 (Almost Confirmed)
A Star Wars game based on The Mandalorian was also heavily rumored. However, there has not been any official confirmation yet.
