It's game time! Nintendo

The Nintendo Live 2023 is an event that celebrates all things Nintendo, to be held in Seattle from September 1 to September 4. There are many activities during the event, and one of the highlights is the gaming tournaments where attendees can watch as spectators or test their skills as players.

Today we'll take a closer look at the games scheduled on different days of the event.

September 1

Let's start with the first day scheduled for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Squad Strike Challenge 2023, starting at 3:00 p.m. ET, open to those who are at least 13 years of age. It's going to be a squad-vs-squad single-elimination and best-of-three tournament featuring the Squad Strike game mode.

Each player chooses three fighters for their squad and determines which crew is declared the champion. Prizes include a grand prize trophy and a commemorative coin.

September 2

For the second day of the event, attendees can look forward to two tournaments. The first is the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Championship 2023 Qualifier starting at 2:30 p.m. ET. The top eight players of this tournament will join the main stage.

The wait won't be long since Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Championship 2023 follows after at 6:00 p.m. ET. Top players from the onsite Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Championship 2023 Qualifier at Nintendo Live Seattle and the online Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Championship 2023 Qualifier will compete for the top prize.

The champion takes home the grand prize trophy and a custom-painted Nintendo Switch Pro Controller decked out with a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe theme.

September 3

On the third day of the event, it's going to be the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate amiibo + me Exhibition 2023. It starts at 4:00 p.m. and is open to attendees ages 10 to 16 years. This is a single-elimination tournament featuring the top eight contenders teaming up with their amiibo amigos to fight it out on the stage.

September 4

The fourth day is all about Splatoon 3. It starts at 2:00 p.m. ET with the top players from the online Splatoon 3 Championship 2023 Qualifier tournament taking the stage and facing off to see who splats supreme. The winning team members receive a grand prize trophy and a custom painted Splatoon 3 Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.

Since Nintendo Live 2023 is still in September, there's still time to join and see if you can qualify. Qualifier events are scheduled from June 3 to June 4 and June 10 to June 11. The top two teams from each event will go to Nintendo Live 2023 Seattle and get a spot to compete in the Splatoon 3 Championship 2023 tournament. They also get a package of other great prizes like a trophy, a jacket, and My Nintendo Gold Points.
