The 2020 BAFTA Game Awards kick off next month and the list of nominations has been announced. Games have been put into 15 different categories. If you have followed several game awards from last year, the BAFTA Game Awards list will seem very similar. The nominations are lead by Control and Death Stranding.
Games that have been nominated for the Best BAFTA Game include Control, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Luigi's Mansion 3, Outer Wilds, Untitled Goose Game, and Disco Elysium. Even though Death Stranding isn't present in this category, the game has been nominated for various other categories, including the Best Debut category. Hideo Kojima has released over 20 games since 2005, but Death Stranding is Kojima Productions' first game and the first release since the director left Konami.
Leading the charts with 11 nominations are Control and Death Stranding. Disco Elysium shows up in seven categories. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Untitled Goose Game, and Outer Wilds have also bagged a bunch of nominations.
