If you’re looking for a wild ride across a post-apocalyptic wasteland, then get ready for Death Roads: Tournament. It’s a game that combines elements of tactical, deckbuilder, and roguelike RPG. The game launches on Steam Early Access tomorrow, March 28.
In Death Roads: Tournament, players take on the role of someone who’s competing in a tournament where the goal is to survive. Players have to fight against other competitors and engage in car battles while navigating across treacherous terrain. Along the way, they get to make difficult decisions that will impact the race.
Game features include:
- Choose Your Driver and Car
- Before starting on your rampage, choose a driver and car.
- You get your ride with the starting card set.
- Then pick a sponsor who determines the starting point on the map. Choose carefully since this can’t be changed.
- Shoot, Bash, and Dodge
- Cards aren't just for shooting other cars since you can also use them to move around the board and take a better position.
- Play smart by avoiding obstacles and not getting pushed out of the way.
- Play hard by crashing into the opponent.
- High Risk, High Reward
- Be sure to shift gears while driving since the higher the gear, the more powerful cards are. However, there's also a greater penalty when you skid.
- You can use skid to your advantage. With a little practice, you can skid to win.
- Upgrade Your Car
- Collect car parts from enemies and install them on your ride to get different cards.
- Test new weapons, engines, and wheels to surprise opponents and help you win. Complete the deck to make deadly combinations.
- Each Race is Unique and Deadly
- Each skirmish brings you closer to winning so rush forward and never slow down.
- The game is a race that is easy to lose and when you do, you have to start the journey all over again.
