We don’t know anything about Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 9 except that it’s happening. Last week, Curb cast member J.B. Smoove said Larry David was “thinking about coming back,” but confirmation didn’t come until today when HBO’s president of programming Casey Bloys confirmed Season 9 was on the way.

“In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, ‘I left, I did nothing, I returned,’” David said about the return of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

When we last left Larry he was in Paris with Leon Black, already getting in fresh arguments with people on the street. Season 8 saw Larry single and in New York City and ended with his banishment by Mayor Bloomberg, punished for being a jerk to Michael J. Fox.

We have no idea yet where Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 9 will take the story, but it’d be hard to imagine the return of Curb without Cheryl Hines, Jeff Garlin, J.B. Smoove, Susie Essman, Richard Lewis, Ted Danson and Bob Einstein.

There is not yet a release date for the next season of Curb Your Enthusiasm, but at least we now know it’s on the way.
