Clash Royale fans have leaked what appears to be a promotional (RED) King’s Tower reskin to commemorate World AIDS Day on Dec. 1. While the updated aesthetic likely offers no gameplay changes, it’s still a good way to support a worthy cause.

The leak was posted by BerkanYildiz on reddit and can be viewed at the link. What we see is essentially the standard King’s Tower design, except this one is colored in a bright reddish hue. Also, to go along with the (RED) brand, there’s a pair of parenthesis around the tower’s insignia.

While an update for World AIDS Day will be new for Clash Royale this year, a similar concept has been in play with its sister game, Clash Of Clans, for the past few years. In that particular case, players could purchase special bundles of (RED) gems and donate the proceeds to charity. Those that gave could then color their Town Halls red to celebrate. We suspect a similar idea for Royale with (RED) gems or gold. Because there has been no leak on the Clans side, it seems the adjustment may be identical to last year’s.

To be abundantly clear, there appears to be no tactical advantage to a (RED) King’s Tower. In other words, we wouldn’t expect there to be any added inferno abilities that offer a final line of defense.

Because this is a leak, we don’t know precisely when this promotion will begin. That being said, with World Aids Day a little more than a week away, we expect some sort of announcement from Supercell soon. Last year, the period of giving carried on from Nov. 30 through Dec. 8. Without an official confirmation, like most Clash Royale leaks, everything should be taken with a grain of salt.

The game’s latest major update arrived earlier this month with new cards, balance changes and more.

Clash Of Clans and Clash Royale are both available now on Android and iOS.
