Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team World Tournament 2022 Starts this September

Good news football fans! Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team is all set to have its World Tournament this September. It's open to players at least 18 years old who have access to the mobile game version. That means Android, iOS, and Huawei players can try their chances.

The first Dream Championship was back in 2019, and this year is going to be the fourth edition and held exclusively online. Fans can look forward to seeing the best competitors in the world contend to be crowned as the best player.

Competition Format

Online Qualifiers start in September, and the schedules are:

  • 1st round: September 9 to September 16
  • 2nd round: September 16 to September 23
  • 3rd round: September 23 to September 30

After that, the winners then meet online for the Regional Finals, which are split into four blocks representing different regions of the world. The matches are going to be broadcasted on YouTube Live on these schedules:

  • Bloc Europe/Africa/Middle East: October 15
  • Bloc Asia/Oceania: October 22
  • Bloc America: October 30
  • Bloc East Asia: November 5

The top seven players ranked in November 2022 qualify for the Grand Final, in addition to the eight winning players from their Regional Finals and the winner of the Dream Championship 2021. The Champions is also going to be broadcasted on YouTube Live scheduled on:

  • Day 1: December 10
  • Day 2: December 11
