Capcom is making sure that everyone's up to speed with everything about the "Resident Evil" franchise by releasing a recap video online.
Not only does this video contain a quick summary of what's happened in the "Resident Evil" franchise so far, but it also contains details about the upcoming game, "Resident Evil Requiem."
'Resident Evil' Recap
Titled "Road to Requiem" and narrated by Maggie Robertson, the voice actress of the iconic Alcina Dimitrescu from "Resident Evil Village," the recap gives a quick overview of the story of the franchise so far.
It includes a retelling of how the story started, beginning from the first "Resident Evil" game until the most recent release.

More details about 'Resident Evil Requiem'
Towards the end of the recap, more details about "Resident Evil Requiem" were revealed. The game is scheduled for release on February 27, 2026.
For those who want to make sure that they get a copy of the game, preorders are now open. It should be noted that the game will be available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
What this means is that the game will have both physical and digital copies.
A Deluxe edition is also available for preorder, which will come with a limited edition steelbook case, according to a report by GameSpot. It will also include the following:

For those who plan on playing on the Nintendo Switch 2, there is a Resident Evil Generation Pack that is also open for preorders. This bundles "Requiem" with the Gold editions of the two most recent games in the franchise, "Resident Evil Village Gold Edition," and "Resident 7 Biohazard Gold Edition."
