A new leak brings an all-important first look at what Leon Kennedy would look like in the upcoming "Resident Evil Requiem" game. However, it has not been confirmed that Capcom as of writing that Kennedy would be in the game.
What has been previously confirmed, however, is that Leon Kennedy was supposedly the lead in this ninth mainline installment of the franchise, but the developers opted for a new character instead.
Despite this, many sources still believe that Leon Kennedy would take on a massive role in this upcoming title, going as far as to claim that he will be its true lead.
'Resident Evil Requiem' Leak Unveils Leon's New Look
There is a new leak circulating over at Reddit and 4Chan which features a document showing off Leon S. Kennedy's latest look for the upcoming game "Resident Evil Requiem," and it has left many fans excited.
The document shows off different characters that are expected to appear in the game, with two of these being the zombie-like monsters that could potentially be the creatures to fight off in "RE: Requiem."
However, the more important detail here is the headshot of Leon Kennedy, with the iconic character now revealed to be sporting an eye patch on his right eye and looking visibly older. This is only natural as the main timeline of the game already features a next-generation character with Grace Ashcroft, the daughter of Ashley Ashcroft, who was more or less the same age as Leon.
It has not been revealed why Leon is wearing an eye patch in the upcoming game, particularly as in the "Resident Evil 4" game, the character only has an alternate cosmetic option sporting the eye cover.
The leaked image also bears a "CONFIDENTIAL" mark on the top right side and is filled with Chinese characters explaining the images.
According to GameRant, this leak is not yet confirmed by Capcom, and there are still very few revelations about Kennedy's appearance and role in the game.
Sources Believe Leon Is the Main Character
A post was previously published online by a leaker who claims that they "100% sure" that Kennedy would be the main character of the upcoming game. The source argued that while Koshi Nakanishi previously said that he is not a good fit for the horror direction Capcom is going for, they did not exactly rule out Leon from being out of the game.
According to the report, it is possible that the game would switch POVs between the supposed main characters of the game as they progress through action and horror sequences.
