Steam Release

Modern Warfare 2 is making a major change with its arrival on Steam. The last COD game on Steam was Call of Duty WW2 in 2017. After that, PC players could only buy COD games via Battle.Net. It’s nice to see one of the world’s biggest franchises back on one of the biggest PC gaming stores.

New Price and Pre-Orders

Modern Warfare 2 is getting a price increase at $69.99 on all platforms including past-gen consoles and PC. This will definitely ruffle up some feathers. Fans of the franchise can also pre-order the game now, and those who do will get early access to the open beta to be held at a later date.

PC players can purchase either of two editions of the game. The Standard Edition costs $69.99 and it only contains the base game. The Vault Edition contains some extra digital goodies but costs $99.99. The said goodies are Red Team 141 which will give players access to four operators along with special masked outfits.

FJX Cinder Weapon Vault, Ghost Legacy Pack, and Battle Pass for Season 1 with 50 Tier skip will also be given to Vault Edition owners, so grinding the pass won’t be that difficult. Plus, players will get 10 Hours Double XP Tokens and 10 Hours Double Weapon XP Tokens to help them level up faster.
