League of Legends is a game where every role is important. It doesn't matter if you are a top laner, waiting for a chance to turn a teamfight with a teleport, or a jungler, who shows up unexpectedly to kill a laner – everyone is important. Of all of these, the two roles that require the most synergy are ADC and support. If those two players are on different pages, they can feed the enemy duo and cause the game to snowball.

A good ADC needs a better support, someone they can rely on in the heat of battle. It helps to have champions that mesh well together, whose abilities work tandemly. Here are the three best bottom lane duos for winning games in League of Legends.

Ashe and Zyra

If anyone told me in Season Five that these two knuckleheads would be top-tier, I’d point to Mordekaiser’s dragon and laugh. Things have changed a lot since then and the crowd control queens are nearly in every game they aren’t banned in.

Ashe and Zyra both rely on heavy crowd control and poke to win lane. There are few champion duos that can stand up to the sheer firepower of Ashe Volleys and Zyra plants. Levels two to seven are when they deal the most damage. I don’t care if you are a Tristana/Alistar, you will lose the 2v2. At six, all Ashe has to do is land an Enchanted Crystal Arrow on the squishier target and the follow up from Zyra should net you a free kill.

There is no bottom lane duo as strong as Ashe and Zyra right now. You can replace one for Twitch or Nami, but they don’t have anywhere near as much damage, CC and engage potential as these two queens of the bottom lane.

Sivir and Karma

When I was first starting out in League , I was a support main who loved Karma. Two years ago, the Mantra goddess was considered trash, being considered less useful than engage supports like Alistar or Nautilus. Now, Karma is a top-tier support, with poke and engage potential considered more important than tankiness – why do you think Zyra is so good?

Early game, Sivir and Karma just want to poke. Sivir and Karma have long range skillshots that do a ton of damage, a full Boomerang Blade and a Mantra empowered Inner Flame can chunk an enemy down to below half. If you can push the enemy out of lane, you can take their tower and start pushing mid and top lane. This combo excels at early game pressure. Don’t waste it or you might get out scaled.

Ashe and Zyra might be able to lock you down, but Sivir and Karma can catch you with speed. Throw down a Mantra empowered shield and Sivir’s On The Hunt and your whole team turns into a racecar. Throw in a Hecarim in the jungle, and nobody will be able to get away from you.

Lucian and Braum

For most of Season Six, no bottom lane duo was anywhere near as powerful as Lucian and Braum. Lucian deals a ton of damage while Braum blocks whatever damage is coming back. These two were best buddies that could 2v2 any bottom lane in the game pre- level 7. After a pretty big Lucian nerf, the Blade rip-off and Poro lover are no longer broken, but that doesn't mean they are bad.

Like Zyra and Karma, Braum can poke and engage. His passive can turn an early game skirmish into an easy double kill and his ultimate is an amazing team fight disruptor. A good Braum can block skill shots for his allies, jump head first into a battle to engage and still have enough leftover health to peel for his carries. He’s not as brain dead to use as Zyra or Karma, knowing when to leave a fight is just as important as knowing when to start it.
