Players have a lot of options for unique weapons in Baldur's Gate 3 that each have their own strengths and weaknesses.

One of the best early-game weapons that you can get in the game is the Everburn Blade. This is a powerful item that can help you in your playthrough. It is also relatively easy to get in the early stages of the game. This means you get a lot of mileage out of it.

This guide helps players learn how to get the powerful Everburn Blade in the early games of Baldur's Gate 3. It is worth noting that getting this item early on is a tough challenge as it forces you to take on a powerful foe.

How To Get the Everburn Blade

The Everburn Blade in Baldur's Gate 3 can be acquired once you are able to face off against Commander Zhalk.

The boss can be found in the room that contains the helm. When players open the sphincter to get inside, a cutscene will begin, according to The Gamer.

The cutscene shows a magic attack hitting Commander Zhalk and knocking the Everburn Blade out of his hands. Despite this, he is wielding the sword once more when the cutscene ends and the fight begins.

To get the weapon, you would need to either use the Command Spell to force the boss to drop the weapon or outright kill him and get it as a reward.

Using the Command Spell Strategy

This is arguably the easier and more convenient option of getting the Everburn Blade from Commander Zhalk. You only need one spell slot and you can save time you would have otherwise used trying to take the boss down, Hardcore Gamer said.

You can get command by making sure that Shadowheart is in your party and you should swap out her spells in her spell menu outside of combat. It is also worth noting that the Command Spell can be used by any player character Cleric or Warlock.

Get in as close as you can to the boss, cast Command, and select the "Drop" option to get the boss to let go of the Everburn Blade. Be warned as the success rate of this spell is not guaranteed and you may need to do it multiple times.

When you are successful, you should send either Lae'zel or your Tav to pick up the dropped Everburn Blade. You should then connect the nerves at the transponder to trigger the transition cutscene, according to Screen Rant.

Killing Commander Zhalk

The second and more dangerous option to get the powerful weapon is by defeating the boss and taking the Everburn Blade as a reward. This is a difficult task but it is entirely possible to defeat the boss at this stage.

It is recommended to keep the mind flayer alive to help with the boss fight so try to heal them whenever you can. Keep in mind that after you beat Commander Zhalk, the mind flayer will also be a boss so try to heal them only when necessary.
