Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is a good game, even if it’s rough around the edges. The game is continuously improving with constant updates by Ubisoft. The developer just released a major patch today that brought some new content, made several improvements, and fixed a whole lot of bugs. Update 1.2.1 also prepares the game for the upcoming Wrath of the Druids expansion pack, which will release on May 13 but requires its own download.

Today’s update is quite big in size, especially on Xbox and PC. The patch sizes on every platform are:

  • Xbox Series X|S:16 GB
  • Xbox One: 12.8 GB
  • PlayStation 5: 5.5 GB
  • PlayStation 4: 5 to 8 GB (depending on region)
  • PC: 14 GB

The patch added three new skills to the game. Now, you can unlock Cold Rage, Eye of the North, and Intense Rage. These skills are described as:

  • Cold Rage: Ignores hit interruptions while performing successive regular melee attacks. This effect recharges after a few seconds.
  • Eye of the North: Prevents flinching from hits while aiming with your bow. This effect recharges after a few seconds.
  • Intense Rage: Ignores hit interruptions while performing your next off-hand parry or special attack. This effect recharges after a few seconds.

Some existing skills received some minor changes as well. The duration of the Battlecry's ability is extended, and the updated Fearless Leaper makes it easier to jump from higher heights. Ubisoft added some missing fishes into the game too. You can read the post on the official site to know about their locations.

The patch makes several other changes including dozens of bug fixes. You can read the complete patch notes on the official site if you are interested in all the technical stuff.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna. Feel free to check out our review of the game over here. You can also read our initial impression of the game.
