One more major publisher is coming back to Steam, with the French company Ubisoft bringing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to the popular online gaming store. The game will be available on Steam starting December 6.

The official page of the game is already up and running but there’s no option to pre-order it as of this writing. Though, you can only wishlist it now. The page does mention that there will be four different editions of the game.

Different Editions

The Standard Edition will contain only the base game and the Deluxe Edition will feature both the base game and the Ultimate Pack. The Ragnarok Edition includes the base game and the Dawn of Ragnarok Expansion. Finally, the Complete Edition offers all content ever released for Valhalla, including the Season Pass.

Pricing

Surprisingly, the prices of any of the editions haven’t been revealed, and I expect a major backlash from users if Ubisoft decided to sell Valhalla at full price. The game is more than two years old and has gone on sale on the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect multiple times.

Other Games Coming to Steam

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla isn’t the only title heading to Steam, with two more games, Anno 1800 and Roller Champions, also coming to the store. However, no release date has been provided, so I assume we will get that information later.

"We're constantly evaluating how to bring our games to different audiences wherever they are, while providing a consistent player ecosystem through Ubisoft Connect," a Ubisoft spokesperson said yesterday.

Future Games

The decision to bring older games to Steam is not a guarantee that future Ubisoft titles will also arrive on the store. The upcoming spin-off game, Assassin’s Creed Mirage doesn’t have a Steam page yet, whereas it can already be pre-ordered on both Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store. Who knows, maybe we will get a Steam release for Mirage as well when Ubisoft's deal with Epic Games comes to an end.
