Damien Darhk’s supernatural powers made Arrow Season 4 the craziest yet. How will Team Arrow save Star City from Darhk’s impending war to end the world? Everything Oliver, Felicity, Dig, and Thea have worked for is at stake, but before we get to serious with finale predictions, here’s the season’s 10 most shocking moments.

Black Canary Dies: Black Canary’s death was the biggest twist of Arrow Season 4. I know what you’re thinking, it should have been Felicity in that grave that tormented us for so long… but it wasn’t. Black Canary pledged that fateful night would be her last as a vigilante. She was all set to hang up her suit and accept a job as Star City’s District Attorney, but Damien Darhk was not going to let that happen. He effortlessly holds Oliver back and stabs Black Canary through the chest with an arrow for revenge against her father, Quentin Lance. We’re given a glimpse of hope when doctors are able to stabilize Laurel at the hospital, but she goes into cardiac arrest and the Arrow team watches her die. Right before she takes her last breath, she has a heart-to-heart with Oliver and tells him he’s the love of her life. She also asks Oliver for a favor, but we won’t find out what she asked of him until Season 5.

Sara's Lazarus Pit Revival: Over a year after Sara’s death , Laurel Lance dug up her dead sisters grave and brought her corpse to the Lazarus Pit at Nanda Parbat, home of the League of Assassins. Just like Thea was resurrected, her body was dipped into magical pool of water. Sara came out in beast mode and took off to join Rip Hunter’s Legends of Tomorrow after having her soul revived by John Constantine.

Felicity Almost Dies: Right in the middle of a precious makeout sesh, Damien Darhk’s army comes through and massacres Olicity’s limo. Oliver pulls Felicity out of the back seat as blood gushes from her mouth. At the hospital, Team Arrow finds out there is a very slim chance she’ll ever walk again.

Malcolm Merlyn V. Arrow: In this epic rooftop fight over a cure to Thea’s blood lust, Oliver takes down Malcolm Merlyn but chops off his hand instead of killing him. Nyssa Al Ghul wanted revenge on Malcolm for all his evil deeds, so she made a deal with Oliver. She’ll trade him the Lotus bloodlust cure in exchange for Malcolm’s life. Oliver, always looking for a better solution, negotiates for Malcolm to give up his position as Ra’s Al Ghul in exchange for the cure. Oliver urges Malcolm to challenge Nyssa to a Trial By Combat to end the tiff once and for all, but Ollie surprises Malcolm when he steps in to fight on Nyssa’s behalf. Oliver becomes Ra’s Al Ghul and he and Nyssa disband the League of Assassins.

The End Of Olicity: We saw this one coming. But even more surprising, as soon as Curtis’s spinal implant takes effect, Felicity stands up for the first time and immediately breaks up with Oliver. WTF! Rude.

Arrow Has A Son: Thea and Felicity find out Oliver has a son who lives in Central City. After having his hand amputated by Oliver, Malcolm tells Darhk to get revenge. Darhk ends up kidnapping the innocent young boy, but not before Felicity finds out he's lied to her all along. Oliver has to not only save William but earn back Felicity’s trust.

Thea’s Immunity: Dahrk tries to give Thea the deathlock, but her revival in the Lazarus Pit prevents his powers from working. This is a huge advantage for Team Arrow going into the finale, especially now that Oliver has harnessed his mystical ability to counteract Darhk’s powers.

The Fall of The Wall: Shadowspire raids ARGUS to steal the Rubicon program, a launch override protocol that grants access to the world’s nuclear missiles. Amanda Waller is executed after Diggle’s wife, Lyla, informs the lieutenant that Amanda will never give up the location, no matter how bad the torture. Waller’s Suicide Squad connection was heavily teased, and this came as a surprise because she’s one of the only characters we know that has ties to Slade Wilson and Oliver’ stime spent castaway on Lian Yu.

Dig Kills Andy: It was hard to watch Dig kill his own brother, but Andy gave him no choice after he pulled a benedict arnold on Team Arrow. He was an ally of Damien Darhk from the jump, and his actions led Arrow into a trap that led to Black Canary’s death.

Felicity Kills a Whole Town: The ultimate “the lives of the many outweigh the lives of the few” moment in Arrow . Running out of time before HIVE’s Genesis Project takes full effect, Felicity and her father, The Calculator, are able to stop all but one Nuke. The city of Monument Point is decimated, killing tens of thousands.
