Apple’s next generation iPhone 7 Plus could get added storage capacity and a bigger battery. The latest rumor from Chinese site MyDrivers predicts Apple will offer a 256GB storage option and use a 3,100 mAh battery for the iPhone 7 Plus expected Fall 2016.

This year’s iPhone 6s Plus has a 2,750 mAh battery. If the rumor proves to be true that would make the iPhone 7 Plus battery roughly 12 percent larger than its predecessor, according to MacRumors. Keep in mind a larger battery may not mean longer battery life. It all depends on how much power the hardware needs, however components do tend to become more energy efficient each year.

Regarding the extra storage capacity, it is unclear if Apple plans to amp up the storage options all together or just offer a 256GB version. Apple currently offers 16GB, 64GB and 128GB models of the iPhone 6s Plus. A 16GB iPhone doesn’t allow users to store much on their device. A couple hundred songs, a handful of 4k videos, a thousand pictures, and a few pages of apps will fill up the capacity in no time. While the cloud is convenient, managing space and deleting content every day can be frustrating.

The battery rumor is questionable seeing KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted the iPhone 7 will be considerably thinner than the iPhone 6s. Sources within Apple’s supply chain also told MyDrivers the screen sizes will stay the same for the iPhone 7 line, 4.7 and 5.5 inches just like the iPhone 6s devices.

iDigi’s own Michael Gardiner has kept up with never-ending iPhone 7 Plus rumors. So far, Apple’s next ‘Plus’ device will feature 3GB RAM, some sort of waterproof and wireless charging technology, 3D Multi Force Touch, dual camera configuration, a fingerprint scanner, and a TSMC A10 processor. Rumors also suggest Apple may remove the headphone jack in favor of just a lightening connector (maybe even USB Type C?) in order to make the device thinner. It is unlikely the iPhone 7 will have an AMOLED display. Recent rumors say Apple is saving OLED technology for the iPhone 8 release in 2018.

The latest iPhone 6c rumor gives the upgraded 4-inch smartphone a 1642 mAh battery, slightly larger than the iPhone 5s’ 1570 mAh. Chinese website MyDrivers leaked the information and sources Foxconn employees. The insiders from Apple’s manufacturing company also report mass production for Apple’s newest ‘c’ device will begin in January.

The iPhone 6c is slated for April 2016 release. The latest release date rumor comes from China Mobile, a carrier partner who leaked Apple’s production launch calendar. The release date schedule actually lists an iPhone 7c, not iPhone 6c. If 9to5Mac rumors previously reported by iDigi prove to be true, Apple may announce the iPhone 6c at a March media event along with the next-gen Apple Watch
