Apple announced that Apple Arcade is adding two new game categories and at least 30 new titles. The new categories are Timeless Classics and App Store Greats.

Timeless Classics are games that include Backgammon, considered as one of the oldest board games though this version comes with a cool graphic design, soundtrack, and even sound effects. There’s also Really Bad Chess that's like chess but has random pieces, for example, a set can have eight knights. Chess pros should be excited to try out this unusual chess game while new ones can enjoy the entertainment it can deliver via odd mechanics.

App Store Greats, meanwhile, include the likes for Fruit Ninja Classic, the hit fruit-slicing game where players can slice and dice their way across different modes. Another is the Chameleon Run, an auto-runner that comes with a colorful twist.

In a press statement, Vice President for the Apple App Store Matt Fischer shared that in its first year, the Arcade got excellent reviews. He added that today’s expansion is its biggest since its debut and it now offers at least 180 games.
