There has been lots of news about the upcoming Season 6 of American Horror Story , but many details remain vague. The latest tidbit of information is interesting, but once again gives fans no leads.

Various social media pages for American Horror Story have gone black. Profile images and cover photos for the American Horror Story Facebook page, Twitter and Instagram now don pitch black images instead of images in accordance with the previous season, Hotel. Could this mean that new details about the coming season may soon be announced?

Filming for the season may have already started, as AHS star, Evan Peters  recently told People Magazine that filming for Season 6 would begin June 7; however, there has been no work from official channels about the show’s production. Coven alumnae, Leslie Jordan, recently announced his return to the cast and told the Washington Blade that he would begin filming for Season 6 on July 7 as well. But other details about the season remain extremely vague.

Freakshow and Hotel star Finn Wittrock revealed to the Wrap that the Season 6 cast would be smaller than previous seasons. Confirmed cast members include Lady Gaga, Angela Bassett, Denis O’Hare, Evan Peters and Leslie Jordan. Those who have been asked about their roles remain coy. Wittrock said he is still in talks with show runners.

AHS executive producer, Ryan Murphy, hinted early on that Season 6 would include two themes. The season may explore the trope of children.

American Horror Story Season 6 is expected to return to FX in October.
