American Horror Story Season 6 continues to be one big mystery; however, several clues about the upcoming anthology have surfaced. American Horror Story: Coven alumnus Leslie Jordan has confirmed he will be joining the cast for Season 6.

“I’m booked all summer, then on July 7, I go back to American Horror Story with Lady Gaga, isn’t that fun?” Jordan told the Washington Blade .

Jordan told the publication he turned down a role in American Horror Story: Freak Show after being featured in American Horror Story: Coven as the Council of Witchcraft member Quentin Fleming. He opted out of another AHS season to focus on other projects, which he now regrets.

“I did one season on Coven . They offered me another season but I got offered a reality show in London and I needed the money. Let me tell you, those reality shows pay a lot of money,” he said. “So I turned down Freak Show , biggest mistake of my life. I didn’t think Mr. (Ryan) Murphy would want me again because I turned him down, but he did.”

Other reports indicate that the Season 6 cast may be much smaller than other seasons. In addition to Jordan, Lady Gaga, Angela Bassett, Denis O’Hare and Evan Peters have all been cast. Finn Wittrock recently revealed he is in talks with producers about a role in Season 6, while Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Matt Bomer, Wes Bentley and Cheyenne Jackson have all been invited back, but have not been confirmed for the season.

But Long time AHS actor, Evan Peters told People last week that filming for Season 6 begins June 7. The actor, who has starred in every season of American Horror Story , told the publication he still doesn’t have details about the theme of Season 6. All of the AHS actors have remained mum, insisting that showrunners have not yet given them any major details. However, it remains uncertain if this is a ruse.

There was considerable speculation in late April that Peters had grown out his beard for his Season 6 role. However, as per photos on social media, the actor has been either clean shaven or shorted a short, scruffy beard in the last month.

If Jordan is scheduled to return to American Horror Story on July 7, it is likely filming would have been under way for some time, and that he may not have a major role in Season 6.

American Horror Story Season 6 is expected to return to FX in October.
