Remasters, remasters, and even more remasters. For the last few years, we have been getting lots of remasters. We have received remasters of Mafia 2, Mass Effect Trilogy, and Modern Warfare 2, among others. Crysis Remastered Trilogy is also coming next month.

Now, you can add one more to that growing list. The critically-acclaimed Xbox console exclusive, Alan Wake, is allegedly being remastered.

The Leak

User @Wario64 tweeted the images of Alan Wake Remastered. According to the user, the game was spotted on multiple retail websites. The site revealed that the remaster will release on October 5 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.

The PC version was not mentioned, however, I expect it in the near future. A previous rumor supports this claim.

Previous Leak

Back in June, both Alan Wake Remastered and Final Fantasy 7 Remake were mentioned at the back-end of Epic Games Store. It will also be foolish not to release the game on PC. That’s just leaving money on the table.

Future

Fans of the game have been asking Alan Wake 2 for more than a decade. For the last few years, there have been several rumors about the development of a sequel. But till now, none have come true. Although Alan Wake developer, Remedy Entertainment, did release an AW-inspired DLC for their latest title, Control.

The most recent rumor claims that Alan Wake 2 is in development by Remedy and will release exclusively on Epic Games Store.

About The Game

Alan Wake was released back in 2010 exclusively for Xbox 360. The game received critical reception from both fans and critics. It even received a standalone expansion pack, Alan Wake American Nightmare. It was released on PC around nine months later. This is one important game that PlayStation players missed out on back then. Well, now they will have a chance to try this masterpiece.
