25 Things We Can Expect To See In Assassin's Creed Valhalla

After months of leaks and rumors, Ubisoft finally revealed Assassin's Creed Valhalla, the next Assassin's Creed game set to release this fall. The game was first revealed via an art trailer, which was followed the next day by an official cinematic trailer which gave us the first look at the game. The cinematic reveal itself showed us a lot of stuff that fans can expect in the upcoming Viking-themed Assassin's Creed game. To paint a picture of all the amazing things you can expect in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, we have listed down 25 things that are coming to the game. 

  1. The protagonist in Assassin's Creed Valhalla is named Eivor and you will have the option to choose a male or female.
  2. Customization is a major part of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and it ranges from gear pieces, tattoos, hair, to clothing and war paint,.
  3. The game will be set in parts of Norway and take players on a journey to England. 
  4. When in England, players can explore major cities including London, Winchester, and Jórvík.
  5. Unlike Odyssey and Origins, Assassin's Creed Valhalla has unique gear pieces that will not be repeated in the loot list once acquired.
  6. In Valhalla, you can play the entire game using a single gear set and upgrade it to match your character level.
  7. Since we touched on character levels, the leveling up in Valhalla is more about upgrading your skills and gear instead of character levels.
  8. You might see a skill graph in Valhalla instead of the traditional skill tree.
  9. Given that it's a Viking game, we expected the fights to be filled with gore. Fortunately, Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin's Creed Valhalla's combat is going to be brutal, crunchy, and weighty.
  10. There are going to far more enemy varieties in Valhalla than in Odyssey or Origins.
  11. Raids are a big aspect of Assassin's Creed Valhalla and you use your Longship to invade islands to raid.
  12. Attacks on fortifications are also an important aspect of Valhalla.

  14. Any member that you hire in your clan will live in the Settlements you build.

  16. There are Assassins and Templars in the game, but are introduced as the Hidden Ones and Order of Ancients.
  17. Fans longing for the return of the hidden blade are in for a surprise. The hidden blade will return in Assassin's Creed Valhalla and has a surprising twist to it.
  18. King Alfred of Wessex is an antagonist in the game. 
  19. Layla will continue her modern Assassin's Creed storyline.
  20. The game has been developed by the same studio that worked on Assassin's Creed Origins and Assassin's Creed Black Flag.
  21. There are twelve other studios that have helped in co-developing the game in some capacity.
  22. Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a cross-platform game and will be the first Assassin's Creed title to release on the PS5 and Xbox Series X.
