Sasha doesn’t know how she’s going to kill Negan, but she’s ready to do it. But then again, everyone wants to kill Negan; at this point it’s whoever gets to him first.
Sonequa Martin-Green recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the second half of The Walking Dead Season 7. Rick’s crew spent the first half of the new season deeply divided after witnessing Abraham and Glenn’s death. Sasha has seemingly focused her energy on protecting Maggie, but has always kept her eyes on Negan.
Now that the crew is back together, it’s time to plan how they will take Negan out of power for good.
“We’ve all come together, and that’s a beautiful thing,” Martin told EW. “It took us a long time to get back together, and everybody’s been on their separate paths of, really, self-discovery and also figuring out, how are we going to move forward? How do I fit in this new world? We’ve all been on our separate paths doing that, and I think that the first half of the season was such an arduous one. It was so painstaking trudging uphill trying to figure this new world out.”
Martin added, “And so I am in a similar mindset that everyone else is in. We realize that we are conquerors, and we’ve made it. We’ve made it back together, and that’s victory enough to give us some pep in our step, you know? So I’m ready to see what we can do together, and I’ve never taken my eye off of Negan. I know what I believe needs to be done, and I’m ready to see if we can come up with a plan that will work together.”
We’re calling it now! We have a feeling Sasha will go rogue with Rosita to avenge Abraham in The Walking Dead Season 7. Who knows how they’ll take out Negan, or if they’ll succeed, but there’s no way Rosita doesn’t try to him out herself. Rosita knows she can’t take out Negan on her own, and with Eugene gone, it only seems right for her to ask Sasha for help.
We hope Rosita doesn’t get Sasha killed, but it wouldn’t surprise us if her plans go awry. The Walking Dead Season 7 premieres Feb. 12 on AMC.
