The newest Pokémon Go update is finally here. While some fans are a little salty that they aren’t getting the entirety of Generation 2 rolled out in one day, others who have curbed their expectations are delighted to be able to hatch new baby Pokémon. As of right now, Niantic has confirmed Pichu and Togepi, but the rest are still being found out in the wild.

The first Generation 2 Pokémon to pop up on the internet is Igglybuff. Reddit user robotnik2 posted that right after the announcement went live, he got a 2 km egg from a Pokestop. When it hatched, this sweet bundle of joy popped out. In the Pokedex, it’s number 174, which makes perfect sense. Looking at the Johto Pokedex, there are 21 Pokémon in front of Igglybuff, not including Pokémon originally from Kanto. There are still two spots that remain unaccounted for, but those might just be for Santa Pikachu and Raichu.

Cleffa has now also been found.

Now Pichu as well, from a 5 km egg.

Got Magby and Elekid, both 10 km.

Finally, there's Smoochum, who also hatches from a 10 km egg. Tyrogue is the only baby not in this update.

Can You Catch A Togetic?

We also know, thanks to keen eyed observers on reddit, that Togepi can be evolved to Togetic right now. In the announcement video, you can see that Togepi has an evolve cost of 50 candies, though getting those candies will be no easy task. You either have to hatch a ton of eggs or turn it into your buddy and walk 5 km for just one egg. If anybody manages to do this by day’s end, I will update this post accordingly.

What About The Rest Of The Baby Pokémon From Generation 2?

Smoochum, Elekid, Tyrogue, Magby, Togepi and Pichu have still not been caught and posted on the internet. We don’t know if all of them or if even some of them are catchable in Pokémon Go. Most likely, Elekid, Smoochum, Magby and Tyrogue will be in 10 km eggs, while Igglybuff, Clefa, Pichu will be in 2 km eggs, according to the data mined information we got a week ago.

I will update this post whenever a new baby gets hatched, but until then I’m going to go walk around, collect some eggs and try and hatch a Smoochum.

Have you gotten any of the new baby Pokémon? Tell us in the comments.
