The Elder Scrolls Online has officially released the Stonethorn DLC for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Stonethorn DLC for the PC was first released back in late August. This new DLC arrives with Update 27 and brings new stories, challenges, tools, and improvements to the Elder Scrolls MMO.

The Stonethorn DLC is free for ESO Plus members. It’s also available for purchase for 1,500 crowns from the in-game Crown Store. There is also the Stonethorn Collector’s Bundle, which is offered for 4,000 crowns and can be found in the Featured section of the in-game Crown Store. The bundle contains:

  • DLC game pack
  • Frostborn Durzog Mangler mount
  • Snowsnarl Durzog pet
  • Five Crown Experience Scrolls

So what is this new DLC all about? As it turns out, the threat of Gray Host didn’t end with the events of Greymoor. It seems new dangers are coming from ancient holds and deep, hidden places. With this, players can form a team and take on two new dungeons.

The first is Stone Garden, where players need to confront new evils the mad alchemist Arkasis is cooking up within his hidden laboratory. Players need to stop his experiments before he comes up with a new terror. On the way they need to battle across empowered minions and discover some terrible creations.

The second is Castle Thorn, located within the mountains of Western Skyrim. Behind the strong wall, Lady Thorn has raised a new vampire army and she prepares to match towards Tamriel. Players need to infiltrate this isolated keep, learn the secret behind this rising force, and confront none other than the Vampire Lord.

Finishing these two new dungeons hands out rewards that include unique gear sets, monster masks, collectibles, and Achievements. Players can take on these two dungeons in both Normal and Veteran Difficulties. Those looking for that added challenge can try the Hard Mode for Stone Garden.

Once players get access to the Stonethorn dungeons, they can continue their Dark Heart of Skyrim adventures by:

  • Teleporting directly to the two dungeons from the map
  • Using the Dungeon Finder tool
  • Walking to the dungeon entrances in:
    • Blackreach for Stone Garden
    • Western Skyrim for Castle Thorn
