Publisher SEGA and developer ATLUS have officially opened pre-orders for the Western versions of Persona 5 Royal coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. These versions of the critically acclaimed JRPG are coming on October 21, and will also be available on the Xbox Game Pass service. First released on PlayStation 4 on October 31, 2019, these new versions of Persona 5 Royal will now put one of ATLUS’ most popular titles across all gaming platforms. Persona 5 Royal on the newly announced platforms will come in three distinct editions: a Physical Launch Edition available only for consoles, a Digital Edition coming to both consoles and PC, and a special physical “1 More” Edition exclusive to the ATLUS shop and consoles. Persona 5 Royal is an enhanced version of Persona 5, the critically acclaimed fifth entry to the Persona subseries of the larger Shin Megami Tensei series. The game features the student protagonist, codenamed Joker, and his student friends and collaborators as they make up a mysterious group called the Phantom Thieves. These Phantom Thieves steal the hearts of corrupt and evil individuals, forcing them to face and admit their crimes to the wider public. Persona 5 Royal adds a significant chunk to the base story, as well as a brand new Phantom Thief and Demons to collect.
