Reports claim the anticipated iPhone 7 will introduce a brand-new color come September: Black. Both Steve Hemmerstoffer — the editor of tech website NoWhereElse.fr and self-described Tech Leaks SuperStar @OnLeaks — and 9to5Mac are reporting on the rumor’s veracity.

Supposedly, the new color is called “Space Black” and will be an update on the “Space Gray” color currently offered on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. The other colors that are offered for the current model include Rose Gold, which comes across as pink, Gold and Silver.

Rumors have also claimed that Apple is considering a deep blue color, but this latest report refutes that. That being said, it seems like 9to5Mac sourced this report from an anonymous email, with no prior track record in terms of leaks.

9to5Mac supposedly tracked the IP address of this email, but didn’t specify how. According to them, the email originated somewhere located near to the Apple HQ campus.

Hemmerstoffer later went on Twitter and confirmed the report, but didn’t specify where he sourced his information and simply tweeting “#Confirmation” instead. The tweet is visible below.
