The second post-launch update for Need for Speed Unbound is launching on June 20. Volume 3introduces players to new races, new events, new playlists, and new customizations. There are also Daily and Weekly Challenges where everyone has the chance to earn XP.
In Need for Speed Unbound Volume 3, players come together to experience exciting stunt-based driving challenges against the clock in new Linkups. In this one, they get to take a break from the track and instead race through the map to one of seven locations, including the Seba Ski Resort and the Quarry. They are also invited to the Lakeshore where they can join and see if they have what it takes to crush those stunt-based challenges and complete collective goals with increasing difficulty versus the clock over four rounds. They can obtain rewards with XP for the Speed Pass and Bank after which they can then earn those sweet cosmetics and customizations. Those who complete 12 rounds of the Linkups event win the new DMC Delorean.
That's not all! There is also the Speed Pass letting players rank up and experience a new progression system where they earn rewards like free cosmetics and customizations. There's a total of 75 tiers of content that includes new outfits, driving effects, neon lights, and banner stickers. They can complete challenges and earn XP for sweet rewards like the new Legendary Custom SRT Viper (2014).
The upcoming update also introduces more ways to plays:
- A total of 68 new challenges to earn XP and Bank which include 29 new Daily Challenges and 13 sets of different Weekly Challenges.
- Access the new Chat Wheel for quick communication with the Lakeshore community.
- New Drift Playlists inject even more variety into the mix. Take on the challenge to earn as much score as you can through each course.
