MultiVersus Closed Alpha Starts May 19

Ready to pair up?
Ready to pair up? Warner Bros.

For those excited to try and see what MultiVersus has to offer, now is that time. The closed alpha for the game starts May 19 and runs until May 27. That means, there's not much time left to register.

Registration for the closed alpha is open and can be done through the official website here. However, since there is limited space, there’s no guarantee that everyone who registers can join the closed alpha.

By the way, those able to join need to keep in mind that anything earned or achieved during the closed alpha won’t transfer to the main game. If that's not to your liking, maybe wait for the open beta which is set sometime in July 2022.

If you’re not yet sure if the game is for you, check out the trailer below:

If this is the first time you are hearing about the game, MultiVersus is a free-to-play platform fighter video game with characters from the Warner Brothers universe. That means players can expect to see superheroes from DC and iconic WB cartoon characters like Bugs Bunny from Looney Tunes and Jake the Dog from Adventure Time.

The game offers multiple online modes like 1v1 matches and the four-player free-for-all. However, what players can look forward to, as seen in the trailer, is the 2v2 format. So, be prepared for some truly exciting pairings.

Welcome the Fighters

So far, 16 fighters have been revealed to be part of the roster:

  • Arya Stark
  • Batman
  • Bugs Bunny
  • Finn the Human
  • Garnet
  • Harley Quinn
  • Iron Giant
  • Jake the Dog
  • Reindog
  • Shaggy
  • Steven Universe
  • Superman
  • Taz
  • Tom and Jerry
  • Velma
  • Wonder Woman

What makes it even more fun is that the characters are voiced by many well-known talents. Batman is voiced by Kevin Conroy while Harley Quinn is voiced by Tara Strong and Wonder Woman by Abby Trott. Meanwhile, Matthew Lillard voiced Shaggy and Kate Micucci voiced Velma.

Can you guess who’s lending her voice for Arya Stark? It’s none other than Maisie Williams.

MultiVersus is set to be released worldwide this year on PC through Steam. The game is also launching on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It offers full cross-play and cross-progression support across all platforms at launch.
