Capcom will release Title Update 1 for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak later today, and it’s expected to bring a whole host of changes to the game’s major expansion, currently out on PC and Nintendo Switch. Besides the patch notes released ahead of the update, Capcom also revealed a brand-new trailer for Title Update 1 for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, and you can check it out for yourself below.

As per an overview from Capcom, the new update will bring about new content for the Hunters, including the return of four fan-favorite monsters. An expansion to the Anomaly Quest System will also bring increased challenges and rewards to players who want them. Hunters who have reached Master Rank 10 will be free to explore all new content arriving later today, in addition to the new Event Quests that will be released weekly following Title Update 1.

Here's a rundown of all the new Story Element changes coming to Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak in Title Update 1:

  • New monsters have been added and will appear in Gathering Hub quests.
  • New afflicted monsters have been added to the game.
  • New quests have been added.
  • A new quest system, Anomaly Investigations, has been added. Anomaly investigations will become available after completing the main story and progressing further in the game.
  • A new locale has been added: Forlorn Arena.
  • New weapons, armor, layered equipment, and skills have been added.
  • New facility added related to the Anomaly Investigations.
  • Qurious Crafting is now available as a new feature at the Smithy.

The new monsters added to the update are Lucent Nargacuga, Seething Bazelgeuse, Silver Rathalos, and Gold Rathian. The Nargacuga and its variants have always been heavy fan favorites across the Monster Hunter series, and the introduction of a more powerful variant has drawn excitement from most fans of the game.

Besides the influx of new content, Capcom will also introduce several balancing changes and fixes to weapons, monsters, Buddies and Followers, and more, starting today. Several PC-specific additions were also noted in the patch notes, including new Steam achievements that will come with Title Update 1 of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.
