'Marvel Rivals' Season 2.5 Patch Notes

NetEase Games has released the Season 2.5 expectations for all fans to see via the 20250530 Patch Notes, which details the massive update coming later this end of month. This details all the expected experiences coming to "Marvel Rivals" for players to download once it goes live, featuring not only fixes and new maps but also the arrival of a new character.

The new event for the game would still continue the Hellfire Gala, but it will focus on a new map that is set to deliver a new battle ground. This follows the latest fight on the current season on "Marvel Rivals," focusing on X-Tron's merger with Cerebro and players going against the revamped Cerebro Database.

The event also features a new unlockable skin and other experiences that will soon be live.

What to Expect from 'Marvel Rivals' Season 2.5

Ultron Is a Strategist Type

Ultron is set to make its debut on "Marvel Rivals" since the character was previously rumored and teased to be joining the roster, with the massive expansion of the game featuring the famed heroes and villains of the Marvel Universe.

Over the last few months, Ultron's type was speculated to be a "Strategist" in the game, and it was recently confirmed that the bot would take on this role and be added to the different characters of the same type, including Invisible Woman, Adam Warlock, Jeff the Land Shark, and more.

While many downplay Strategists as Healers or Support-type characters, they are more than that in "Marvel Rivals," with Ultron touted to bring significant impact come May 30.

New Event, Map, and More

A new season event is on the horizon called "Cerebro Database II," which continues the events of the hijacked Hellfire Gala and the story's escape to Arakko. This also brings forth the new map called "Hellfire Gala: Arakko," which is set on Mars and is a sister island of Krakoa.

Players who complete the event are set to receive the Binary Arrow costume for Hawkeye and is available to obtain from May 30 until June 27. During the same period, users may also expect various Twitch Drops from the game.

Several fixes for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC are also available in-game via this upcoming patch, as well as new In-Store drops, combat chests, new rank rewards, and more.
