Tripwire Interactive’s zombie survival game Killing Floor 2 is currently free to play on Steam, and will continue to be until June 25. The free weekend also marks the launch of Killing Floor 2’s new Back & Kickin’ Brass event, which will run all the way until July 31.

In addition to the Free Steam Weekend, Tripwire Interactive is also launching their newest event, Back & Kickin’ Brass, which introduces an all-new game mode, new maps, new weapons, and more alongside the Summer 2019 Final Release.

The newest game mode, Objective, features much more team-oriented play by giving players more of the same – endless hordes of zombies coming at you in waves – while tasking them with completing set objectives (hence the name of the game mode). Objectives may include delivering objects from one point of the map to another, or possibly escorting a high-value survivor to another point on the map, etc. A new map called Steam Fortress will also be launching alongside the event, and will be compatible with the Objective, Weekly, Survival, and Endless game modes.

Like with most Free Steam Weekends, you can get Killing Floor 2 on sale for the duration of the event. Until June 25, Killing Floor 2 and all of its editions will be available for purchase at 67% discount, or you can get the entire Killing Floor franchise bundle on Steam for 69% off. The Killing Floor franchise bundle includes both Killing Floor titles (1 & 2) as well as all the DLC and paid content packs for both games.

Killing Floor 2 is the seqeul to Tripwire Interactive’s 2009 title, Killing Floor, and picks up the story where the first one left off. Since it launched back in 2016, Killing Floor 2 continues to be one of the best cooperative zombie survival experiences available. With 6-player cooperative modes and 12-player versus modes, Killing Floor 2 is a lot of fun and continues to provide its players with non-stop entertainment and excitement.

Killing Floor 2 also went free-to-play on Steam last March with the release of their then-latest content drop, Cyber Revolt.
