Dragon Ball FighterZ is shaping up to include so many familiar Dragon Ball Z characters that it might be one of the best rosters we’ve seen in the series. With less than two months until the launch of the 2D fighter, Bandai Namco has revealed Kid Buu, one of the most sadistic jerks from the anime, is added to the game. No doubt, fans will be excited to finally get their hands on him.

Bandai Namco’s latest Dragon Ball FighterZ character trailer showcases a fast and frenetic Kid Buu who’s all over the place in terms of fighting moves. Lil' Kid Buu appears docile in the opening scene, but he powers up to incredible speed and brings the pain to Super Saiyan Goku with a volley of blows. It’s not pretty, especially if you’re a Goku fan. Judging from the gameplay, it looks like Kid Buu will be good for anyone who likes to use quick, sprightly characters whose speed is their greatest asset.

Kid But is a much more unfriendly (and that’s putting it mildly) version of the bigger, fatter Buu -- He's wildly unhinged and can go off on a hair trigger, making him especially dangerous.

Previous fighters revealed for Dragon Ball FighterZ include Gotenks, Android 18, Android 16, Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, Piccolo, Frieza, Krillin, Android 21, Tien, Yamcha, Majin Buu, Nappa, and Gohan. There’s a wide selection of fighters to square off against each other, and while it doesn’t appear that it’ll be the series’ largest selection, the quantity of fighters is trumped by how close the game looks to the anime itself.

The new Dragone Ball Fighterz videos show off a smooth animation style, almost as if it’s ripped from the anime series itself. While previous Dragon Ball Z games like Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Dragon Ball Xenoverse before it took liberties to project a similar anime-styled aesthetic, they ended up looking more like the less-than-stellar CG in some current anime series.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Jan. 26, 2018. It’s coming a month later in Japan on Feb. 1 next year.
